The Vellalar College of Education for Women, Erode is one of the new generation educational institutions which are committed to transforming women teachers of the society. Affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore this college is situated in the heart of the city Maruthi Nagar, Thindal, Erode, Tamil Nadu and approved by the NCTE, the National Council for Teacher Education. Vellalar College of Education for Women offers two full-time postgraduate courses: B.Ed and M.Ed. The sectors of B.Ed have an admitted capacity of 100 seats whereas the M.Ed sectors has an admitted capacity of 50 seats making a gross total of 150 seats between both courses. These are intended to provide students with knowledge and skills that enable him or her to practice education effectively. For the B.Ed programme the admission policy is determined by the state government, UT administration and the university. Likewise, for the M.
