Vignan Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, established in 2006, is one of the premier institutions in pharmaceutical education at Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. Within a very short period, it has carved out its niche in the field of pharmaceutical education. The campus is spread over 2.8 acres, with a wide range of pharmaceutical programmes and currently 574 students enrolled in the institution. At VIPT, there are 5 full-time courses at 3 degree levels: Bachelor of Pharmacy, or B. Pharma, as the main programme with 100 students admitted annually. The courses at the postgraduate level are 15 seats for the M. Pharma course in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical analysis. This institute also conducts 6-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharma.D.) programmes with 30 seats, which provide a sustained quality education for those seeking advanced pharmaceutical practice and research.
