The Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rayanigudem, laid down in the year 2004, is an acknowledged college focused on quality pharmaceutical education in the region of Telangana. Situated in Suryapet, Nalgonda District, this is a co-educational institution spread over an area of 12 acres. The institute is recognised officially under the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and NAAC accredited. Affiliated to the PCI, the college provides various pharmaceutical courses comprising 8 courses offering 3 degrees. With 25 courses offered and 363 students enrolled, along with 57 members on the faculty, Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences gives its students a concentrated setting as future pharmacists.
There are many facilities that would make learning at the college more productive and more enjoyable. A large library contains more than six thousand books associated with pharmacy and fifty national and twenty worldwide journals, magazines, and audiovisual items. The library formally has the capacity to host up to two hundred students at one time with a corresponding Internet connection for research. Modern laboratories are also the recognised creativity zones, as the learners can implement the received knowledge practically. Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences also has an arrangement for the boys' and girls' hostel at Suryapet town so that the students feel at home and free from all uncomfortable arrangements here and there to meet their necessities. For leisure and fitness purposes, the institute actively supports different indoor and outdoor games and sports. A canteen is an eating place normally provided to meet the food needs of students and members of staff, while a health centre, which usually contains first aid facilities, provides elementary health care services.
It has designed the pharmaceutical courses to suit the various interests of interested candidates as Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institute offers 8 full course programmes at various levels of study and training. The college offers an undergraduate four-year B. Pharma course with an intake capacity of one hundred students. In postgraduate studies the university offers the following M.Pharma specialisation: a 2-year programme with 15 students in each batch. Such as M.Pharm in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology and pharmacy practice. Also, the college provides a 6-year Pharm.D. with 30 seats and a 3-year Pharm.D. post-baccalaureate with 10 seat intakes. On average, the total approved intake in all the courses being offered is 215 students per year.
The enrolment plan in Vikas College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is highly reliant on entrance tests. For the courses B.Pharma and Pharm.D., admission is based on the candidate's rank secured in the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET).
