The Vinayaka Mission’s College of Nursing at Karaikal started in the year 2004 and is a constituent college of the Vinayaka Mission’s University which is devoted to the cause of imparting education in nursing. This institution is established at Keezhakasakudimedu, Kottucherry, Karaikal – India and it comprises 7.14 acres of land. The college was approved by the Indian Nursing Council IINC and it offers a wide nursing courses.
The college has a variety of special features that aims at improving the learning process as well as total character of the learners. The knowledge centre of the institution is well stocked with collection of books, journals and electronic resources. This institution has a fully computerized library with Wi-fi making it easier for the students to access different information. To provide hands-on cream, the college owns highly-end laboratories that are suitable for various types of nursing courses. For the convenience of out-station students, the campus has a host for boys and girls separately to provide them comfortable stay. To encourage the participants in sports and recreation activities ,the college has facilities such as sports fields and gym. The culinary point provides meals for students and employees, and the students have an auditorium to perform, have meetings and presentations. The College of Nursing of Vinayaka Mission provide comprehensive courses in nursing. The institution offers seven full-time courses out of which it has undergraduate and postgraduate courses. B. Sc Nursing has an intake capacity of 60 students while different specialization of M. Sc Nursing have 4 students intake capacity each. The college also has 50 seats for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course. Together, the college has an intake capacity of 245 students for all programs to be able to deliver quality education to each student.
