Vishnu Lakshmi College of Engineering and Technology was founded in 2013 at Vellalore, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is a recognised private engineering college offering optimum educational facilities for the enthusiasts in the engineering stream. Being an affiliated college that is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICT), this college has a running of programmes in engineering spread across its 5-acre campus. Vishnu Lakshmi College of Engineering and Technology has a faculty of 50 committed educators delivering value education in 7 subjects of 2 degree programmes. This is demonstrated by the colleges' various fields of specialisation they offer, which are civil, mechanical and electrical engineering; electronics and computer science; and electronics and communication engineering.

In the field of engineering courses, Vishnu Lakshmi College of Engineering and Technology has facilities to provide all these. There are 7 full-time programmes offered at the institute, out of which 5 are undergraduate programmes comprising a Bachelor of Engineering [BE] and 2 postgraduate programmes comprising a Master of Engineering [ME]. BE programmes are offered in civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and mechanical engineering. For postgraduate, Vishnu Lakshmi College of Engineering and Technology provides ME in Structural Engineering, and Design Engineering. The total course capacity approved for these courses is 468, and the maximum intake in each course is offered in BE Civil Engineering, and BE Mechanical Engineering, both with 120.

The admission policy of Vishnu Lakshmi College of Engineering and Technology is completely fair and candid. For undergraduate programmes in engineering, the college accepts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), a standardised national-level entrance examination. In postgraduate admissions, results of the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) are considered.
