This affiliated college of Gondwana University, having its origins in the year 2008 and located in the Hiwarashram district of Maharashtra, is known by the name Vivekanand Science College of Buldana. This institution, sprawling over an area of 6 acres, offers quality education in the field of science. NAAC-accredited college offers three undergraduate programs to total 296 students strength. Our college provides the strength of 17 faculties that can provide focused attention towards the students. The primary emphasis of the Vivekanand Science College is on receiving scientific education, and the college provides specialisations in microbiology, biotechnology, chemistry, zoology, computer science, physics, and mathematics. 

Vivekanand Science College has a key commitment to ensure students study in an enabling environment and to have modern facilities for learning. It is well equipped with a number of reference books, e-journals, and a book bank facility for the students belonging to reserved categories. This means that the institution has a well-equipped and spacious laboratory for all practical-orientated subjects as per student learning processes. With a view to supporting technology-based education and training, the college has provided knowledge support through information and communications technology (ICT facilities, including internet connections, wireless facilities, LCD projectors, and computers. The campus also contains a health centre with first aid preemies to make sure the students at the college are healthy. In the area of hostels, the college also builds an available achievement by providing a hostel for boys' and girls’ students that makes it easy for students from different regions to attend the college.

Vivekanand Science College is offering three B.Sc. full-time courses, each of them having a duration of 3 years.  Credit-bearing courses for diploma and certificate programs have been approved to accommodate 40 students each, cumulatively totalling 120 student seats. This selective model permits the college to preserve high levels of education in specific scientific fields. 

 It appears that academic performance in the 12th standard or any equivalent education is a priority system for the college. Since the courses offered are specialised, candidates who have good grades in the science subjects are encouraged to apply.
