Vivekananda College of Education, as an affiliated college, was established in the year 2016 and is located in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. This co-educational institution, on a consolidated area of 0.8829 acres, aims to become an institution for teacher education. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college offers two full-time courses: B.Ed. and D.Ed. This college enrols 300 students every year in total and has a faculty of 16; hence, this college offers a good environment for learning for those students who want to be trained as teachers. Like any other course, the admission norms of the D.El.Ed. Programmes are applicable according to the state government or UT administration norms only. This keeps erradicating all forms of favouritism, which often gives room to unqualified candidates to secure the job.
