Vivekanandha Pharmacy College for Women, Salem, established in the year 2017, is a women-only pharmacy college. Affiliated to Dr AM Sastry Institute of Technology, Perambakam, Tamil Nadu, this college is situated in Sankari West, Veerachipalayam, Salem, encompassing a 2.5-acre  area. It is also affiliated with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to attract the best correct minds and correct pharmacy minds for a pharmacy institute in Andhra Pradesh, India. With a focus on female education, the college offers two specialised courses: B.Pharm. and D.Pharm. The institution has various faculties comprising twenty-eight members, most of whom ensure close attention is paid to students and optimum academic standards are achieved.

Vivekanandha Pharmacy College for Women plans to install modern facilities as regards thereby improving the learning environment of the students. The pharmacy library is well stocked with a sufficient number of books of various disciplines of pharmacy, right from pharmaceutics to pharmacy practice, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and biotechnology. It also preserves an external list of pharmacopoeias, bound volumes, theses and journals in reference format and digital resources. The library is equipped with the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), where students can search for the LAN campus resources. The college has efficient and well-equipped laboratories for practical practice to enable students to have practical experience in the area they have taken in college.

Vivekanandha Pharmacy College for Women offers two full-time courses: a B.Pharma course of four years with one hundred seats and a D.Pharma course for two years with sixty seats. These are proposed to offer complete information and skills in pharmaceutical sciences to prepare students and enhance the future job market in the industry. Due to the college’s approach to specialised education in pharmacy for women, there is a greater representation of women in the pharmaceutical workplaces.
