VRS and YRN College of Engineering and Technology was established as an affiliated college in Chirala, Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh in 2002. This institute is spread over a sprawling campus of 108 acres with the approval of AICTE. The college offers courses in engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with a diverse range, while a total of 16 courses are combined under 4 degrees. VRS and YRN College of Engineering and Technology aims at providing quality technical education to students through various specialisations such as Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, which it currently has an enrolment of 146 students with a faculty strength of 6.

It has quite a few facilities for the students, which make their academic and personal development comfortable. The college library is accommodated in two separate buildings, one for UG and the other for PG students. It covers an area of 7,978 sq. ft with more than 62,575 books, including 83 journals. Equipped laboratories for practical learning, an auditorium for events, seminars, and hostel facilities that are separate for boys and girls; it has a medical center with first-aid facilities and a gym for health and fitness. The college has also provided IT infrastructure, a canteen, and transportation facilities to make the learning environment comfortable. Students who are sports enthusiastic can utilise the sports facilities of the college, and the institute has another unique feature of providing NCC training on campus since the last 64 years. This is an Affiliated College of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.
