VYWS Dental College and Hospital, Amravati, which was formed in the year 1965, is one of the best and credible dental colleges in the country, which is attached to the concerned university, Lonar. An affiliated college of that university is a recognized one with the approval of the Dental Council of India (DCI) and also accredited by the accreditation agency National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India. The college is located on a 5-acre campus and has a total number of 225 students with faculty strength as high as 121. 

Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society’s Dental College and Hospital (VYWS Dental College), established in 1989, is a prominent private dental institution located in Amravati, Maharashtra. Affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI), the outsiders from Delhi come here to relish quality education in VYWS Dental College; hence, the strength of students is maintained at 1:5 between males and females. There are many amenities for the students in terms of educational and personal development in this college. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available. The boys' hostel is located on the second floor of the college premises, and there are 30 students in it. On the other hand, "Kasturi Malviya Girls Hostel" is centrally located inside the city. This Institute offers a course count of 9 with 1 undergraduate program in BDS, 5 post-graduate programs in MDS, and 3 doctoral programs in Ph.D. The undergraduate program in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is the bulwark of this college, with an approved intake of 100 seats. MDS It has 2 seats each in post-graduate programs available in Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Periodontology. Ph.D. Prosthodontics and Crown Bridge, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology and Microbiology for students interested in advanced research. 

The total number of students is 368, whereas 338 are undertaking undergraduate courses, and 30 are undertaking postgraduate courses. The college strictly follows national entrance exams for admissions. BDS applicants must meet or pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Similarly, admissions to the MDS program are based entirely on the scores NEET MDS. It is merit-based selections that the college runs to realise the right candidates at their destinations.
