Women’s College, AMU was founded in 1920 it is the only Women’s College in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh which is playing a very crucial role in the education of Women. As one of the constituent colleges of AMU, this prestigious institution opened its door for empowering women's talent in a century ago providing quality education across disciplines. A team of 76 committed teachers helps students develop as scholars offering a successful college environment for students. The college campus in general is a beehive of academic and co-curricular activities intended to foster holistic development of its learners.
Sitting at the centre of the institution’s foundation is the efficient and enhanced library that forms the core strength of Women’s College, AMU's academic programmes among the students and the faculty as well. In terms of facilities, the is well equipped with a spacious reading room that could contain over a hundred students at once thus offering a sufficient environment for reading and learning. Furthermore, the library also operates the Book Bank service to provide students from low-income families with access to the required contemporary editions of the given subject.
Women’s College, AMU offers 30 programmes spread over 4 courses to give students versatility of academic preference and career choice. It mainly offers full-time undergraduate programmes for students with a major concentration in sciences, arts and commerce. These are, B.Sc Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Geography each with an admission capacity of 120-145 students. The arts stream includes a BA. in Economics, Political Science, English and History options and the commerce stream offers B.Com having a strength of 180 students.

It's a huge college with beautiful infrastructure. As the college is quite old, the infrastructure gives the vintage vibes . You won't be getting the best of interiors and furnished seats but they are decent. Overall, the college infrastructure is good to go ...

College Infrastructure
Nice overall with some old buildings but some new as well . Our biochemistry department has new classrooms. There are a lots of gardens and plantation which makes the infrastructure good to look at overall.
Overall an average College with decent academics.

College Infrastructure
It was made back in the days so more than half of the college has old designed Infrastructure but recently few new blocks has been made which is quite decent. Few classes have AC too. Auditorium is huge and beautiful.
