XITE Jamshedpur is one of the top colleges in India started in 2007. Situated in Gamharia of Jharkhand, this college has rich facility with 35 acres of campus area. Being an affiliated college, XITE is accredited from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), to deliver quality education. Here, there are 3 degrees with 4 courses in total to offer undergraduate students in the institute. With a total of 191 students on its roll and 17 faculty members, XITE has a good student faculty ratio. The college respects diversity specifically in terms of gender which include 58% of male students and 42% female students.

Through these facilities XITE College is focused in offering a one stop shop in preparation for the tertiary institutions and at the same time offering an all round experience to the students. One of the facility assets of the campus is a computer lab with forty computers and the connection to high-speed internet, plus the most up to date software. The books are sectioned in the college library are more than 5600 and the journal is 24, The college library also uses the KOHA software to organise the books. Play grounds for volleyball, football, basketball, badminton, kabaddi, cricket and athletic are provided to the sports enthusiasts. The college is also concerned about students’ health especially by providing a sick room, regular physician visits and has a trained nurse on site. In addition, XITE has different hostels for boys and girls carefully designed and equipped with comfortable furniture and recreational centres.

The institute is having a total of four full-time undergraduate courses so that every academical interest is fulfilled. These are Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Hons), BA Economics Hons and Bachelor of Arts in English (Honours). The college was reserved for a total of 191 students for all courses offered while at the moment the college has admitted 295 students.

The admission process of this college is general and comprehensive, and every candidate is equitably treated. For all undergraduate courses offered, such as BBA, B Com (Hons), BA Economics (Hons), and BA English (Hons) applicants are expected to apply and are then invited for an interview. The candidate is being selected on the basis of their academic qualification as expressed in Class 12 or any other examination as the case may be, as well as the interview they take.
