To apply for the PMI-RMP certification course, candidates must fulfil these criteria –
For Non-Graduates: A candidate must have a minimum of 4500 hours of professional project risk management experience and a minimum of 40 hours of project risk management education in the last five years.
For Graduates: A candidate must have a minimum of 3000 hours of professional project risk management experience and a minimum of 30 hours of project risk management education in the last five years.
To receive the PMI-RMP certificate, candidates need to pass the PMI certified PMI-RMP certification exam first. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria/prerequisites can prepare for the certification exam either with a PMI accredited formal institution or by themselves.
Once you complete the PMI-RMP certification training course successfully, you will receive a course completion certificate. However, to receive the PMI-RMP certificate, eligible candidates need to pass the PMI-RMP certification exam.
A PMI-RMP certificate is only valid for three years from the date of issuance. Once the three years are over, professionals need to earn a minimum 30 Professional Development Units or PDUs to renew the PMI-RMP certificate for the next three years.
A total of 170 MCQ-based questions are asked in the PMI-RMP certification exam. Of the total questions, 20 questions are pre-test or unscored questions which are only used to test the validity of future exam questions and do not affect the final test score.
