The entrance test of BHU PET for MCom will be conducted for a duration  of 120 minutes carrying 120 Multiple Choice questions (MCQs) carrying 360 marks divided into two Sections:

• Section A has 60 MCQs (180 marks) of graduation level from Accounting of  30MCQs, Income Tax of 6 MCQs and Business Finance of 24 MCQs.
• Section B has 60 MCQs (180 marks) of graduation level and will comprise of Business Organization & Management of  24 MCQs, Business Law including Company Law of 12 MCQs, monetary theory and Banking of 12 MCQs, Business Economics of 06 MCQs and Statistics of 06 MCQs

BHU offers BA Hons in Arts and Social Science which has the same exam pattern, that is the entrance test is conducted for 120 minutes, carrying 120 questions for 360 marks with the following sections-

• General Knowledge and Current Affairs with 60 MCQs
• General Mental Ability/Reasoning with 15 MCQs
• Numerical Ability with 15 MCQs
• Language Comprehension with 30 MCQs to be chosen amongst English or Hindi

Banaras Hindu University has yet not released the application form for UET. It is expected to release in June 2021 but can get further delayed. Dear student,

If you are general candidate then you need to have minimum 50% aggregate marks in 12th to get admission in various undergraduate courses.

But if you are OBC candidate then you get relaxation of 5% less marks than that needed for general candidates.

In case you are ST/SC then you have full relaxation and there is no requirement of any minimum aggregate percentage in your last qualifying exam. You need to score just passing marks in your last qualifying exam if you are ST/SC.

Having said that, just marks in 12th does not guarantee your admission in BHU, you have qualify the entrance exam conducted by BHU to get seat into it. You have to secure a good rank for as competition is high in that exam to get a seat in this premium college.

It is not essential to join IISc, IISER, ISI to pursue research in the field of Mathematics, be it or any other. You can obviously go for research by pursuing Doctorate degree in top universities like Banaras Hindu University, Delhi University, Jamia Milia Islamia or any other. There is no restriction as such.
