The college has a number of laboratories and equipment for all areas of research work. Some of them include, NMR spectroscopy lab, 3D printers, workshops, Chemical Laboratories, Transportation for Civil Engineering, Highway, Materials Labs, CAD Lab, Heat Transfer and IC Engine Lab, Robotics Lab for Mechanical and a very famous O-labs for the EEE department. The faculty members are from well-esteemed colleges. They look into both administrative as well as research work. Apart from this, the student life is vivid with numerous clubs and departments. If you have any hobby, you will definitely find someone whom you can work it with. The placement in BITS is almost 100%, with very good companies giving good packages as well. Hostel and mess food is something which you should get along with. But when there is everything else, this can be neglected.

The college provides good Sporting Facilities with various Grounds and a Gym. A Student Activity Center is also there which encompasses most of the indoor games. Some of the newly made classrooms are of very good quality. Various other infrastructure like the Saraswati temple and a few other statues add to the brilliance of infrastructure. For improving the industry exposure, more opportunities must be provided to the students and some good projects by the companies must be discussed before hand with the faculty, so that the student gets the best exposure. Sports, freedom, beauty of the campus, friends and seniors, involvement in department and clubs are a few of the things that made my college life enjoyable. Our college should bring more core companies so that students get a lot of options and a proper chance to compete and sit for placements. For building up our resume for placements, projects and papers should be given more frequently by the faculty with ways to publish them too so that we are able to build a good profile for the company to select us. In our hostel, free LAN, a common room with TT table and a TV is there. Majority of the sports equipment are available and small grass grounds are there inside the college so that we can play. Solar heaters for warm water is also there in the bathrooms and drinking water taps are also available with Aquaguard filters. The crowd is one of the best with students of the best intellect and with excellence in almost all of the areas, be it studies/ sports/ music/ dance etc.

My college has one of the best infrastructure in India with well maintained hostels, classroom etc. Without any doubt, it is the only college that provide 2 months industry exposure to 2nd year student in addition to 6 months training in final year. The most wonderful thing is the way the student body of college actually works. The clubs, departments and every other group do its work with so much dedication and newness that every fest of the college touches new heights. Oasis, The cultural fest of Bits Pilani is one of the biggest cultural fest of the country. Although the placement of all the collenges in country hasn't been so great. but the placement unit of college assures that every student gets her/his chance to prove his worth and gets job after his studies. The hostels of college are well-maintained and every facility is within reach of student. All the professors are well exceptional and have greater than the subject/course knowledge.

Best Private Engineering Institute of India

A college review should start from the quality of academics. So, the teaching at BITS aces the quality of education in the country. The professors are highly qualified and helpful at the same time. Being a private college, the professors are quite interactive too. Our vice-chancellor, Dr Souvik Bhattacharya, is one the the best professors for Mechanical Engineering in India. The infrastructure is very organised and the campus is serene in all senses. There is continuous supply of 3 basic necessities of life i.e. electricity, water and unlimited internet. There could have been added luxuries like posh, new furniture and washing machines and showers. There is an ongoing infrastructure development project on the campus. The old hostels have been renovated preserving their state of art architecture and design. The college curriculum is planned in such a way that there is sufficient exposure to the industry. We have two mandatory, college-allotted internships which provide a comprehensive on-field experience. The downside of the college being the high fees of the college and fee hikes every year. Roughly, I spend around 3 lakh per annum for studying in this college. I expected a constant fee structure but it is quite nice a trade off. The college offers a free learning atmosphere and the students upon graduation perform well in the fields of their interest, may it coincide or not with their subjects. The students are admitted to BITS purely on merit without any kind of reservation. Hence, the crowd is really competitive and intellectual. Due to high fees, students of upper middle class families are abundant which gives a free-minded and comfortable atmosphere.

Sophisticated Labs, may it be Chemical engineering, Computer sciences or any other Sciences department (Biology, Chemistry, Physics); New Academic Blocks to enhance the academic spirit and attendance ratio of students compared to past. The Internship opportunity twice per disciplinary program is highly helpful for students to get an elaborate exposure of industrial functioning, according to the choice of students that they choose to pursue the internship for either a 3/6 month duration. In entirety, the ambiance of the institute is very much driving the students to pursue their interests at any time of the academic year, may it be extra curricular engagements or academics themselves. Apart from these, students have discovered a variety of muses in and around the institute area to hangout and have fun depending on the lot one hangs out with and the time of day, week or year. Though the placement unit evolved to be a transparent running unit, doesn't go flawless. A student gets to know about the same once he/she reaches the placement stage of the academic program. Internet through LAN/Wi-fi at hostels; mess service per one or two hostels with decent enough food which the student gets habituated by the end of pre-final year; Regular complaint addressal. A much more interactive faculty was expected, though equal student participation is required. No boasting, though any national institute observes this but, the campus simply seems like a mini-India and the alumni have always been a distinguished lot at respectable positions in various fields. Housing(hostel), tuition fee and mess services.
