The BA Honours Programme with a Major in Economics is designed to provide a basic but rigorous training in the analysis of the economy. Particular attention is paid to familiarising students with contemporary economic issues including those specifically confronting developing economies like India, and equipping them with the ability to think creatively about these issues. Through a course content, which is an appropriate mix of economic theory, economic history and quantitative techniques, students are exposed to different perspectives within the discipline and the social and political dimensions of economics. The emphasis is on encouraging students to develop their analytical and critical faculties rather than promoting learning by rote and uncritical acceptance of received wisdom.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for admission to a BA Honours in Economics, the candidate must have passed the class XII examination with at least 50% marks (relaxation of 5% of marks for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized Board. The candidates must have passed Mathematics which will be counted among the best four subjects.

Admission Details

The selection will be based on merit on the basis of the marks obtained in class XII, which will not include any vocational subject.

College Infrastructure

Yes, the college has the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment for the students. The classroom are properly equipped and the Campus has a library, laboratory, sports centres as well as a hostel. They are all well maintained.

College Infrastructure

Yes The infrastructure of the is so good and the University is situated in old Delhi so the atmosphere inside and outside is pretty cool and different from other universities also we have all basic facilities required and also everything is in pretty good condition and also well maintained and if we talk about food provided that is also hygienic and most of the living spaces are cleaned.
