72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Mechanical Engineering shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, offered by DY Patil University, Pune.
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate possesses a Master's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks and after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Admission Details
Entrance Examination: Must clear a national-level examination like UGC-NET/JRF, UGC-CSIR NET/JRF, SLET, GATE, or equivalent as recognized by UGC, or have completed an M.Phil. program.
