FM University Balasore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

FM University Balasore campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with round the clock high-speed internet connectivity service for students, teachers and other staff of the university.

Fakir Mohan University, Balasore provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities for students on the campus premises. The sports facilities that are available for games and sports in FMU are a cricket ground, volleyball court, badminton court, basketball ground and indoor sports complex.

Fakir Mohan University, Balasore has banking facilities on the campus. Students, teachers, and employees of the University have access to banking services through UCO Bank and other nationalised banks at Balasore. On the  recommendation of the university, needy students obtain study loans from nationalised banks. UCO Bank and SBI ATMs are also available on the campus.

Fakir Mohan University, Balasore has two canteens, one on the old campus and one on the new campus, both of which are managed by private caterers. A Committee oversees the canteens and is responsible for the food standards, cost of food items, and general cleanliness of the surroundings.

Fakir Mohan University, Balasore has two boys hostels. Each hostel is overseen by a superintendent, who is in charge of the administration and discipline of the hostel. FM University Balasore boys’ hostels are equipped with basic amenities like well-furnished rooms, an uninterrupted supply of water and electricity, a mess etc.

In FM University Balasore, there are four girls' hostels on the new campus, Nuapadhi for the students of the university. Each hostel is managed by a superintendent, who is in charge of the administration and discipline of the hostel. FMU girls' hostel facilities include an uninterrupted facility of water, electricity, a mess, etc.

Fakir Mohan University, Balasore has a well-maintained IT infrastructure and it controls and manages the networking of the entire campus.

FM University Balasore has a Health Care Centre (HCC) that provides regular and emergency treatment to patients in accordance with PHC guidelines with OPD services and in-patient services (6 beds). HCC services cater to students, teaching, and non-teaching staff members of FMU and their dependents.

Fakir Mohan University, Balasore has a central library named Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab Library in the memory of late Dr. H.K Mahatab, a great freedom fighter as well as former Chief Minister of Odisha. At present, the library has a large collection of books and back volumes of periodicals. The central library has been modernised to give computerised services to the academic community of the university at large.

FM University Balasore has two guest houses on the campus. FMU guest house  at the old campus has four double-occupancy rooms and a dining hall; the guest house on the new campus has eight double-occupancy rooms for visitors to the university. The rooms are well-equipped, with the provision of food (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) in the dining hall facility, which has a well-spaced attached kitchen. During seminars/conferences and workshops, the university guest house was appropriately used for food and lodging.
