Placements: The first of many features of IIITL, which makes this institute very fine from other new institutes, is its excellent placement record ever. Since the passing out year of the first batch is 2019, the placement statistics of IIITL are increasing. In 2018-2019, the highest salary package offered was 28 LPA, while the average salary package offered was 11.37 LPA, which is quite an achievement for an institute in its infancy. The real ability of IIITL was proven in 2019-2020 placements where the highest salary package offered was up to 43 LPA, whereas the average salary package offered was 18.42 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 10 LPA. This year there was a 100% placement rate, which is almost not possible in new institutes. Top recruiting companies here were prestigious companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Samsung, Paytm, TCL, Wipro and many more. This placement record is expected to increase in the upcoming years.

Infrastructure: IIITL was established in 2015 under the wing of IIIT Allahabad and shifted to its own Lucknow newly built campus in 2019. On the new campus, the infrastructure was up-to-date with all the modern standards, including air-conditioned and spacious classrooms. The hostel building has all the basic facilities and many other facilities. Labs are equipped with all the latest technologies and equipment. The mess serves high-quality meals four times a day, including evening tea. The mess is friendly to both North and South Indians even after being purely vegetarian serving one. The campus is located near the Phoenix Palassio mall, which is the biggest mall in Lucknow and is a perfect destination for a night out. Sports facilities are also above average. This college also has started building a gym on the campus, which will be completed very soon.

Faculty: Faculty members of IIITL are very qualified and experienced in their respective fields. All of them hold a PhD from prestigious institutes and have years of teaching experience. You can study sports as a compulsory subject because it facilitates physical well-being. There are no unnecessary subjects like physics and chemistry which are not at all useful. The coding culture of IIITL is also one of its distinguishing features. IIITL regularly conducts hackathons and coding competitions both among students of the college and students of other colleges.

Other: Seniors in IIITL are very supportive and helpful. There are also many clubs in which freshers can join. Those clubs are literary society named Crotonia, photography society named Afterdark, dance society and many more. This institute organises an annual cultural fest called Equinox, in which many events are held.

In my opinion you should go for IIIT Pune (CSE).

IIIT Pune CSE students are getting packages of like 40, 36, 22, 26, 31 lakhs. For the first batch of IIIT Pune average package was 7.58, but for the second batch, the lowest package till now is 11 LPA. It looks like IIIT Pune is going to break all the records this year.

Maybe IIIT Pune is going to be the next IIIT Hyderabad.

• IIIT Pune has shattered all placement records by an increase in Rs. 18.6 LPA from Rs. 11.4 LPA average CTC in just the first two batches of placement. Most new IIITs are not even close to 11 LPA average CTC offers.
• There are people saying over the internet that reviewers try to defame IIIT Guwahati, which is not the actual fact. IIIT Pune is actually ahead of IIIT Guwahati in such a short span.
• Students of IIIT Pune are passionate about contributing to the growth of their college and so, they provide positive reviews highlighting the good aspects of the institute. There are matters in which IIIT Pune is ahead of other newer institutes.

Now, its all depend on your interest, choose according to your preferences.

I think your first should be IIIT Lucknow because it has better coding culture and placement. It ranks higher than NIT.

Then your second Choice should be NIT Jalandhar

- NIT jamshedpur

- IIIT Gwalior

Then others....

IIIT Lucknow has better student reviews than IIIT Kalyani.IIIT Lucknow have higher average salary package.The average salary package is about 11.5 LPA.Top Recruiters are  Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, MindTickle, Flipkart,  Paytm, Tata etc. So its is the better choice.This college is best among the new IIITs

The fees of all categories that has to be paid to the institute is same but the SC and ST candidates have a decent chance to acquire a large amount of this through scholarships. There are many category specified scholarships offered by state and central government and acquiring process will be smooth due to friendly and supportive college staff.

Unlike Mhrd IIIT (100% govt) like Gwalior, Allahabad, Kancheepuram, Jabalpur, Kurnool where SC/ST have 100% fee waiver, PPP IIIT (2/3rd government) have zero fee waiver.  Also IIIT L do not provide any scholarship, but you can look up to state government but you have to compete with all the students in the state applying for scholarship. Also state government changes rule occasionally.

IIIT Allahabad IT + Business informatics is a much better option.

Anyway i won’t suggest anyone for CSAI four year Btech course. Simply do CS/IT or prefer 5 year CS/IT with or without AI specialisation. It will work there.

Don't obsess over it just because it is cool. The training industry has hyped it. There are not enough ML/AI jobs for all the enthusiasts.

P.S.: I was one of them while in college.

Not sure how the hype is able to penetrate year over year without any outcome.

Incase you get IT, thats also as good as CSE at IIIT. Most of the above IIITs have strong Placements.

NIT Silchar has one of the best infrastructure as compared to other NITs. Campus is spread over 625 acres with about 19 lakes, tea garden , a big auditorium, cricket ground, 10 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels. We have Asia's biggest digital library. PG hostels are available for first year boys...

In my opinion IIIT LUCKNOW is a better choice. The coding culture is also a lot better in IIIT LUCKNOW than IIIT Gwalior. In the case of placements, IIIT LUCKNOW placements are amazing than in IIIT Gwalior if you are willing to do a little hard work.

• In IIIT Lucknow the average package is 11.5lpa and Highest package is about 27lpa(total 5 students) which is better than some well established NIT’s and IIIT’s, while the avg package of IIIT Gwalior is 6lpa.
• The faculty is good. They are highly qualified and extremely talented and most important dedicated towards their responsibility of teaching.
