The selection for BTech and BTech Dual (BTech+MS/ MTech) programme is done based on candidates' valid scores in JEE Advanced and counseling round.

furthermore, The IIEST Shibpur admission process constitutes of the online application, verification and fee submission and then provisional admission.

The selection process for UG Program in IIEST Shibpur is as Follows :

  • Approved students will have to pay the blocking fees.
  • Send the documents for verification for provisional admission.
  • Join the provisional admission Google meet for document verification.

Hello aspirant,

There is an eligible criteria to qualify IAT and get admission in IISER. It is as, you must have rank with in 10,000 in common rank list if you are of general category. But if you are of any of reserved category then you must have rank within 10,000 in reserved category list. Also, you must have at least 55% in 10+2 or equivalent exam.

Hope it helped!

Good Luck.

IISER Stands for Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research.

Hello aspirant,

Three channels—SCB, KVPY, and JEE Advanced—will be used for IISER 2022 admissions; separate application forms have been made available for each. The IISER 2022 application form correction window will be open on June 17 and 18 at the official website following the completion of the application procedure. The correction window allowed candidates to make changes to the IISER aptitude test 2022 form.

Thank you

Hope this information helps you.

Hey aspirant

As you are pcm student first study and revise physics, maths, chemistry thoroughly because scoring well in 3subjects are enough to get a seat in IISER. So by daily mock test, revision and systemic preparations you could score good marks. If you have enough time after this you can look important chapters in biology. Sone of the must chapters are

Genetics and evaluation

Reproduction

Biotechnology and application

Cell structure and function

Biology and human welfare

Ecology and Environment.

Dear Arya,

Yes! you can use the AADHAR card as a valid proof of photo identification in the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) examination.

Apart from AADHAR, you may also use your voter ID card, PAN card, driving licence etc. Please note that you only need to use any one of these for proof of identity.

I hope this helps! Best of luck!

Dear aspirant

I appreciate your interest to want to work for the environment. IISERs can provide you excellent environment if you would like to work for the environment. There is BS MS in Earth and environmental sciences course that you can do. IISERs offer a great environment to give you a strong foundation to pursue a research career. The course structure, exposure you get here is unparalleled. You will also have an option to explore other fields if you join IISER which you won't usually get in other colleges. You will learn all the subjects in the first two year and then course will get more focused on your area of interest as you progress through years. If you are interested in biotechnology you can join engineering colleges to pursue a btech in biotechnology. As for competitive exam preparation, you are on the right path, in my opinion. You can join IISERs through KVPY/IISER SCB/ JEE Advanced. The preparation for JEE will help you prepare for other competitive exams as well.  Make sure you go through biology class 11 and class 12 NCERT thoroughly before attempting SCB exam. IISER SCB exam is the most straightforward way to get into IISER, so make sure you focus on doing well in boards as well because you have to get a  minimum cut off in board exam to be eligible to write the SCB exam. If you get into top 1 percent of your board, you will also be eligible for INSPIRE scholarship (only of you are doing a science degree) which amounts to about 1lakh per year.

I hope this helps

All the very best for your future

Hi

I think I might be eligible to answer this question of yours as I am in IIT Roorkee in biotech branch.

Honestly I would say the work load in our branch is very less compared to other branches in our college and that gives the students enough time to follow something that is not of the curriculum.

If you are interested in bio, then I would say it would definitely be worth it as around 5 of our batchmates who were not at all even interested in bio are now into bio so much that they will be going into research fields in the future.

There's a worldwide competition called iGEM regarding bio field only, in which our institute is a gold medalist. Students need to go to foreign and the trip is sponsored by the institute.

Although I am having interest in civil services but looking at some faculties of our branch, I sometimes admire them a lot and they sometimes force me to look upon this field.

See, if you are interested in bio, then I say make your aim as IIT ROORKEE BIOTECH BRANCH, I promise you will not doubt your decision even a single time.

Although many look bio as not a good branch, just forget them! In foreign bio is compared with computer science and the scope in India is only to grow.

We also received an email that the target of National biotechnology development is to achieve US$150 billion by 2025 hence you can imagine what heights this field will see in the future.

It would definitely be worth it if you are so much interested in this field.

GOOD LUCK !

Hello,

You have to initiate the payment of the application fee once again by logging in with your login credentials. Your application will not be considered unless you pay the application fee. The amount that was deducted before will be refunded to the same bank account if the transaction is failed. You may contact the bank's customer service and raise a ticket. You will have to provide the details of the transaction such as transaction ID, transaction amount and date. The refund will be credited within 3-10 business days. You may check your bank statement to know if the refund has been credited or not.

If you are a non General student (OBC,SC,ST,Pwd) you will for sure get a good seat in IISER.

Although if you are General Category student, then you need to wait for further rounds in counselling. People getting 76-79 marks gets admitted in Bhopal.

Thus you can expect it and might get Behrampur for sure.

If you have any further query then feel free to comment.
