Eligibility--

The eligibility criteria of IISER 2020 varies according to the different channels of admission. It must be noted that fulfilling the eligibility criteria before applying is mandatory.

For KVPY: Candidates are required to have a KVPY fellowship commencing from the academic session 2020-2021.

For JEE Advanced: Candidates of general category must have secured a rank in JEE Advanced within the limit which will be prescribed by the official authorities.

For SCB : The concerned authorities will determine the minimum cut off that a candidate is required to meet for IISER admissions 2020. It is mandatory for the candidate applying through this channel to appear in IISER aptitude test 2020.

Hello student,

Niser stands for national institute of science education and research. And IISER stands for Indian institute of science education and research. Both are excellent institutes in the terms of academics and faculties for ug degrees.

Niser is under DAE the government of India And Iiser is under MHRD. The course structure is different totally. All of the faculties are from various NIT or IITs forgot to institutes.

In niser you can get A summer internship which is quite helpful for experience and CV. But this kind of internship unknot happen in all all IISERs.

If you have a good CGPA you can directly take admission in bhabha atomic research centre from niser. But in iiser there is not this kind of facility.

Otherwise there is no no difference between them.

the following conditions should be met to get admission in any of the IISER institutes.

1. you should have passed your 10+2 in science stream within the past two years
2. then you can apply either by Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE-Advanced ) or State and Central Boards Channel ( SCB ).
3. For State and Central Boards Channel ( SCB ) admission you have to qualify in IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)
4. then based on the cut off marks and results of the respective entrance exams,  student's list will be prioritised and the candidate will be selected via counselling.

You will get a choice for ve preferred cities where you wish to write the aptitude test while completing the online application form.  No request for the change in the exam centre will be entertained after filling the form.

However if the examination is not possible to be conducted in any of the centres due to unforeseen reasons, the candidate would be allotted an alternate centre, and such information will be communicated in due time.

Eligibility,

• Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2019 or 2020 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2020.
• However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programs only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board.

SO FOR Maharashtra State Board Of Secondary And Higher Education, the cutoff for s.c category is 328/500 which is 65.6%

No marks are released for the IISER aptitude test. Hence there are no cutoffs.

You get t know only whether You are selected or not.

But according to other candidate's personal experience and the generalized question paper.

for general category student marks of about 110/180 will be good to get into IISER Pune

IISER will never disclose your marks. It will just tell you You’re selected or not. So it’s impossible to know the actual cut-off.

For IISER Pune and General Category: minimum 110/180

ANYone IISERs and General Category: minimum 70/180

SO, FOR SPECIFICALLY SC CATEGORY IF YOU SCORE AROUND 70-90 YOU CAN GET ADMISSION

IISER Aptitude date has been changed to 12th August (From 9am to 12pm).

The last date for receiving online application for SCB is July 22, 2020 and the application portal will close at 5 pm.

Yes sir, You can apply for jobs in ISRO,DRDO,BARC,ARDE etc after doing  the dual degree BS-MS programme from IISER or NISER. You can also apply for other government research organizations . But you need to see the advertisements of that organisations because  the IISER's and NISER's dont have campus placements  like IIST to get jobs in these organisations.

yes you need to write extra test to get your admission.
