Hello Siddharth,

IISER results are declared within 2 days of writing the exam. But no official marks and merit list has been declared till the last year. They only provide you whether you are selected or not selected.

The key for getting admission to the IISER will be solving maximum questions in the IISER Aptitude Test.

You can get cutoffs online but they are mere guesses. So if you think you have performed well in the exam you can just wait for the results to come out as depending on wrong expectations can be sorrowful if you don't get what you expect.

All the Best!

Hello Varun Teja ,
Congratulations for clearing JEE Main and getting such good marks in Advanced .With 93 marks in JEE Advanced and belonging to SC category ,you can definitely get IIT or IISER ,if your total marks in maths(Marks in Paper 1+Marks in Paper 2) is greater than the cutoff marks in Maths to qualify for JEE Advanced  .
Hope it helps and all the best for your future endeavors .

Hi Nihad,

IIESR has released the category-wise cutoff marks (out of 500) for 10+2 examination for different state and central boards.

In 2019, the cutoff for CBSE category-wise is-

General/EWS- 431

OBC-NCL- 420

SC- 401

ST- 385

PwD- 385

You can check your cutoff and figure out whether you are eligible for IISER Engineering admissions or not.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!!

Dear aspirant,

When we talk about IISER, like any other exam, the cut-off for this test is also jot a constant. There is absolutely no disclosure of marks in the aptitude test, there is no merit list either. The number which others tell you is just a guess and there is no information absolutely available. Although, for general category student  marks of about 110 out of the total marks may be good to get into top oneso like IISER, Pune. My personal advice is to score maximum in your strength amd dont make negative answers.

Hope this helps !!

All the very best !!

Hi Rishabh

There are three ways to get a seat in IISER which are as follows-

KVPY Channel

Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2019-20 academic session are eligible to apply for admissions. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable.

JEE-Advanced Channel

Candidates in General category securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2019 are eligible to apply. For candidates belonging to the reserved category (OBC-NC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank should be within 10000. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable.

SCB Channel

Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2019.

However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board.

Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country.

Hope this helps you

Hi Nitish,

It is uncertain to say that if you answer 30 questions you have a sure shot chance. However if you answer 40, then you might have the best chance to crack it.

Based on the ranks secured in IISER 2019 merit list by candidates in JEE Advanced 2019 and KVPY result, the institute will allow 50% seats to candidates. The rest 50% of seats will be reserved for candidates applying through IISER entrance examination. The cutoff of IISER 2019 for all SC/ST candidates and Kashmiri Migrants is minimum 55% marks in 10+2 or equivalent for all boards. Hi Abhishek.
Your CRL should be less than 6000 for applying for IISC Bangalore.
There is no previous year data released by IISC Bangalore for the cut off ranks of previous year.
You can send your application under the OBC category if your CRL is under 6000 according to the previous year data.
All the best.
