Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must have Minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks or First Class in the qualifying degree, fulfilling specific requirements for different disciplines, as indicated below:
- All regular category candidates (except those having BTech degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 7.0) must possess a valid score of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). For eligibility for financial assistance for regular category candidates, please see the section “Financial Support” below.
- Minimum experience required for Sponsored (Full-time) and Part-Time categories of candidates has also been indicated below.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or Equivalent or MSc(Electronics) or Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, and a valid GATE score in EC/EE.

IITG is one of the most beautiful iits of India. It comprises of greenery and clean campus. Classrooms are well advanced and libraries also includes all types of books .Sports facilities of IITG is outstanding . Hostels are well maintained and hygenic.
