Ph.D Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Guwahati (IITG) Offline Course

For admission to the Ph.D. Programme in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), a candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria:

• Master’s degree in Arts/Commerce/Science in a relevant area with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Design in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60%  marks.
• Four-year Bachelor’s degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0. 
• Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Design or equivalent (from other than IITs) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 70% marks.
