72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Tech. / M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering.
- B.Tech. / M.Tech. or equivalent degree in any branch of Engineering/ Chemical Technology and interdisciplinary areas.
- M.Sc./MS in disciplines consistent with the research areas of the department.

College Infrastructure
The campus is next to Guindy national park. It is in flora and the fauna mostly consists of deers and dogs. Many sporting activities are there. The city is near to campus. The campus has few old buildings but they are equipped with all facilities. New buildings have first class facilities. There are facilities for a lot of research.
This is a dream college.

College infrastructure is amazing this college has almost all the possible facilities and equipment, the classrooms are equipped with all the best smart board CCTV cameras etc.and our campus is one of the best in our country

College Infrastructure
IITR has one of best campuses in India. Labs of IITR have almost all the equipment required to carry out high quality research. Apart from the facility required for experimental research, IITR also has softwares and tools for theoretical research.
