Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai offers two different levels at various disciplines such as postgraduate and doctoral levels. IGIDR courses are offered in full-time mode. IGIDR courses are available in the Economics and Development Studies branch.
Candidates seeking for admission a the institute must meet the IGIDR eligibility criteria for the desired course. The course duration of the IGIDR Mumbai M.Sc Economics programme is 2 years, and the duration of the Ph.D Development Studies programme is 5 years. IGIDR Mumbai's fee structure for the M.Sc. Economics programme is Rs. 64,000.

Note: Students pursuing the PhD course from IGIDR Mumbai are required to take 4 compulsory and 10 optional courses for a duration of 2 years.
IGIDR has a small but well-maintained campus. Classrooms are simple but comfortable, and the library is one of the best parts — it has plenty of economics books, journals and research papers. Hostels are provided and are decent for students. The campus is quiet, which is good for study.
