  • Sending invites to the companies

The training and placement cell invites the companies by sending an e-mail for conducting IGIDR Mumbai placements and sends them placement brochures.

  • Acceptance of invitation by the recruiters

After the invitation has been sent, if the company wishes to conduct the recruitment drive, it accepts the invitation and reverts back to the placement cell for the further placement process.

  • Fixing of dates for placements and slot allocation

Once the placement season begins, upon mutual agreement between the company and the placement cell dates are fixed for conducting the campus recruitment. A placement schedule is finalised for the IGIDR placement drive and it is shared with the students.

  • Listing of the interested students and submission of CVs

Interested candidates for participating in the IGIDR Mumbai placement drive need to register themselves with the placement drive. After the registration, they need to submit their updated resume and other documents that will be used during the recruitment process.

  • Shortlisting of the enlisted candidates

Every participating company sends their eligibility criteria based on their requirements known as pre-hiring demands such as the minimum percentage of candidates. Only the shortlisted candidates are allowed to attend the pre-placement talk.

  • Pre Placement Talk to be delivered by the company

The next stage of the IGIDR Mumbai placement process is the pre-placement talk. The recruiting company delivers a pre-placement talk for the students as per the placement schedule so that the students get an idea about the basic policies, key aspects of the company and work environment.

  • Written tests conducted by the recruiters

Subsequent to the delivery of the pre-placement talk, students have to appear for a written test. The test can be taken in separate rounds depending upon the recruiter. Some recruiters may conduct psychometric tests, aptitude tests and technical tests separately. Students qualifying the test make a move to the next stage of the recruitment drive.

  • Group Discussion

Next stage is the group discussion wherein candidates who are successful in qualifying the written test will participate in it. They will be given a topic for discussion by the recruiters and candidates need to present their thoughts in front of the interviewers and showcase their oratory skills.

  • Interview

Personal interview is the last stage of the IGIDR Mumbai placement process. Candidates who get shortlisted during the group discussion have to qualify the interview taken by the companies.

  • Job Offer

Candidates who are successful in qualifying all the stages of the IGIDR Mumbai placement process will be finally selected and a final offer letter to join the company will be given to them.

Hello Kritika,

To prepare well for your entrance examination for masters in economics from IIT/IGIDR/ISI and DSE, you must go through all the previous years question papers and brush up all your concepts thoroughly.

You should study the whole syllabus and study on regular basis as this is one of the most toughest exams to crack.
