hello its difficult to tell you the cut off for 2017 and 18 as even official site is not providing the data

but last year cut off (2019) was 37.75 for general category in MA Public administration

Hello,Admission to B.Arch in Jamia Millia Islamia is on the basis of JEE Mains paper 2 score which is B.Arch paper, for taking admission you have to separately fill the Jamia Millia Islamia B.Arch form and mention your JEE MAINS details as the counciling will be done on the basis of JEE Mains marks.

For taking admission you must have at least 50% in 10+2 exam or in 10+3 (Diploma) exam.

For 2020-21 session the rank will be almost similar to year rank, getting around 4,000 rank will get you admission in Regular and around 9,000 rank be eligible in self financed category.

Before filling the application form, the candidates were advised to check the eligibility criteria since their candidature can get rejected if they are unable to meet it. Since no entrance examination is conducted, JMI B.Tech admission 2020 will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2020 scores.

Eligibility for Diploma Holders -- Should be a diploma holder in Engineering stream recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of 3 or 4 years duration with atleast 55% marks

It is known that getting admission in this college is difficult due to their limited intake and increasing number of applicants or demand. The learning experience is going to be good there and every college will have its own pros and cons with respect to various aspects but that also varies from person to person . In general , as far as faculty, reputation , infrastructure , facilities , research opportunities etc are concerned , it is a good institute . Apart from this it is you who need to analyse your needs and expectation about the the college you want to study and see whether JMU fulfills it. As far as education is concerned it is a good option. Now regarding the course whether it is good or bad for you ,is completely based on your interest ,skills and passion towards the subject and you career goals and plan. There is nothing wrong with applied mathematics if you have a deep interest and patience to learn it. Scope wise you will have many options like MSc , MBA,MCA etc which you can choose according to your career expectations .One rewarding and interesting combination with applied math would be computer science, so if you are interested , you may explore the area and start preparing from now for bright career.  Math is a universal subject hence you will not be misfit in any area , you will have a lot of career opportunities if you work hard.

Hi Nida, the last year cut off in BSc Hons in applied matha at Jamia Milia is 37.50 in general category, 31.50 in minority muslim category, 29.07, for Mobc/st, 25 for jamia, 22 for J&k candidates.

The reason behind this is very few mob is interested in such a deep learning applied mathematics course. Considering the English Hons cut off as 50-60%, applied mathematics has less number of applications. So in order to fulfill the seats, the college has put such a minimal cut off. The JMI 2019 cutoff comprises of the minimum marks that the candidates should score to get the admission.

Regular courses are funded mostly by University and self-finance is by the candidate.

The self financed courses fee may be higher as compared to regular courses.

courses in which  government or the University Grants Commission does not provide financial aid and the students are expected to bear the entire cost are called self financed .

And regular courses are funded by the government and all fee structure is designed by the government norms.

Facilities wise and infrastructure wise both the colleges are nice. So I am differing them on the basis of their fee structure and placements.

NIT Srinagar : The fees for whole B.Tech course in CSE is near 5.30 lakhs. In computer science and engineering, there are almost 100% placements. In 2018 batch,  the highest salary package offered is 28 LPA whereas the average salary package offered is approximately 11 LPA.

Jamia Malia Islamia  : Total fees is around 65000. JMI computer engineering department has very good placements. About 90% of the students are placed here with an average salary of 10 lacs and the highest salary package was 20 lacs. Top recruiters are Samsung, Wipro, innovacer etc.

So overall placement wise NIT Srinagar is good.
