Hello Aspirant,
Yes, There is proposal to increase the MBBS seats from year 2020 from 200 to 250. Currently i.e., up to 2019 there are 54 of 200 MBBS seats in JIPMER(150 in Puducherry and 50 in Karaikal) are earmarked for Puducherry students. Admissions to MBBS course in JIPMER, Puducherry and JIPMER, Karaikal, will be through NEET(National Eligibility Test) and entrance test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency and not by JIPMER from 2020 onwards. If you need more information you can visit official website www.nta.ac.in (//www.nta.ac.in) or ntaneet.nic.in.
Hope this helps you.
All the Best!!!
The qualification percentile is already released.
The closing rank for general category is 12,for obc - ncl is 76,sc 44 and st 30.The nri and unreserved citizens should secure 50th percentile for qualification. Jipmer only provides 200 seats for mbbs so it is tougher than neet which is obvious. The expected score to enter in JIPMER is 150 and above. So the cutoff can get as high to 170 if the paper level was easy.
Also the JIPMER is not based on the minimum marks, it is actually based on the merit you have to top on the list to get an entry. It is also based on the state domicile. If you belong to Puducherry you have higher chances to get an entry. Hope this helped. All the best.
Hello Aspirant,
See this is the first time when JIPMER is going to take its admissions through NEET exam and for predicting the admission chances in it we need previous year's cut-offs which is not available because this is the first time through NEET. Earlier JIPMER was conducting it's own entrance test. However your marks are pretty good so you might get the seat in it but still we cannot predict exactly until and unless cut-offs for this year are released.

Hello,
50th percentile is the minimum percentile required will be score for getting seat in JIPMER Puducherry for general category this year.
More information regarding the cut off go through the given link below:-

Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC are filled by DGHS. You needn't register separately. You need to select these Colleges during the choice locking period. And you will be allotted a seat based on your merit and preference.
Dr. Bala, 676 is not a small score irrespective of the Category. And JIPMER has 200 seats in both of its branches and all seats are filled through All India Counselling following Constitutional reservations. And going by this, 676 is a score that can get your daughter a seat in JIPMER. Last year the top NEET score was 701. This year it might go atleast by 5-10 marks. Even going by that, 676 marks can get her a seat in JIPMET. So we would suggest you to wait for the NEET results and NEET merit list to be declared to check her score and then take a call. Hello Aspirant,
See it is little bit difficult to predict exactly the cut-off marks for any of the college because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also, cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
As you are asking for JIPMER so let me make you clear that this is the first time when JIPMER is taking admission through NEET scores so it is little bit difficult to predict the marks which you need to get admission in it because we can only predict on the basis of previous year's cut-off. Earlier JIPMER was conducting it's own admission test.
