Hello,
Congratulations! A  NEET score of 640 you will get you mbbs seat in top medical colleges under both  telangana state quota and 15% all india quota.

You are likely to get selected in aiims and jipmer too.

With a 640 score your overall percentile will be 99.48 - 99.96 and your NEET AIR Rank will be around 900 - 1091.

However its hard to predict jiomer cutoff as this will be the first time Central institutions will admit students on basis of neet scores. However you are much likely to enter a good medical college. All the best

Also tese information is based on previous years cutoff and as cutoff changes every year depending on factors like difficulty and number of candidates and current COVID19 situation etc.

You can use careers360 college predictor to know the colleges you can get at your NEET score;- https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hello,

Since you have not mentioned either your state or your category I'm gonna answer this on a general perspective.

Cutoff for JIPMER is usually really low for both of its campuses ( Puducherry and Karaikal). The 2018 closing rank for NEET in Karaikal campus for unreserved category was 978, even the OBC, SC,ST category touches the last rank around 350 and based on your marks your predicted rank would be around 1211-2861, so there's really no chance for admission in JIPMER but there are other good colleges which you can get admission in based on your rank.

To predict your NEET rank you can use the following link :-

To know about your chances of admission in other colleges based on your rank refer to this link :-

Hope this helps.

Hello Aspirant,

JIPMER cutoff 2020:  Candidates belonging to the unreserved category, Overseas Citizen India and Non-Resident India (NRI) will be required to secure 50th percentile. SC/ST/OBC category candidates and candidates with a physical disability will be required to secure 40th percentile. Unreserved-PH candidates will have to secure 45th percentile to be considered eligible for admission in JIPMER MBBS 2020. Every year the marks corresponding to the cutoff percentile differ based on factors like the number of candidates who appear for the exam, level of difficulty of the question paper etc.

GoodLuck!

This is the first time that AIIMS and JIPMER are conducting admissions through NEET score through All India Counselling and so it cannot be answered with certainity. But JIPMER has 200 seats and a score of 650 and above should secure a seat in JIPMER under General Category. This also depends on various factors like top NEET score and other cut off determining factors. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For the first time, JIPMER is conducting its admission through NEET score under All India Counselling. And within both the branches, JIPMER offers 200 seats. And with a score of 676, the All India Rank might be below 300. And so the chances for a seat in JIPMER are fair enough. AIIMS and JIPMER together will bring in approximately 1700 seats and all these seats will be filled through All India Counselling. Ideally when there is an increase in the no.of seats,t he cut offs should reduce. But in 2020, almost 2 lakh more Candidates registered for NEET than 2019. But given the reputation of AIIMS and JIPMER, Candidates would want in to take admission in them which means the competition is going to be tougher. And because all these seats will be filled through All India Counselling and not State Counselling, the cut offs might increase due to heavy competition. And also cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hey!

With the increment of seats this year the cut off may lower down in further rounds. But in first round of counselling the cut off is expected to be high and on the same lines as 2019. We cannot accurately predict the cut off until counselling authorities give out the seat matrix for the year 2020.

With a score of 593, your rank might be approximately between 7784-10036 . This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank . JIPMER will fill its 200 seats through All India Counselling following Constitutional reservations for the first time. So we do not have a clear idea about the cut offs. But with 593, your chances might be border line. Hello ,

Earlier AIIMS and JIPMER used to hold their own admission test, but now admission in these two institutes will be through NEET. So according to the prospectus a common counselling will be done by the MCC/ DGHS. All the seats of AIIMsS and JIPMER would be added to all india quota, there will be no state/UT quota in any of AIIMS medical colleges.

Good luck!!

Hello

This is the first time ever when JIPMER is conducting admission through neet examination so predicting cut off marks for getting into JIPMER is quite difficult .

Also,
cut off marks depends upon various factors like kind of marks obtained by students in the examination , toughness level of the neet examination, number of students that appeared in the exam,  etc , also JIPMER will be providing admission through all India quota for which cutoff marks goes high

Now, your daughter's score is 676 marks, with this marks

Her Overall Percentile is:99.79 - 100

Her Predicted Rank is:68 - 98

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor/result

So , with 676 marks your daughter holds a very good chance of getting into JIPMER

Thank you
