Hey Avanthika !
The question you asked is actually quite an interesting one. Many candidates throughout the year face this problem during the Counseling Procedure.
Well, as far as I have knowledge, the answer to the question is no.
I mean, yes ,you can participate in the Counseling procedure of JIPMER, but you won't be able to take admission if you are able to procure a seat.
Every year, this is the most common happening.
Since NEET takes place first, followed by AIIMS and then JIPMER, the counselling procedure too follows the same schedule accordingly and hence it actually creates a problem.

Suppose you have taken admission in a college AIQ or State Quota and have submitted all your documents to the college authority, now if you by chance get selected in JIPMER or AIIMS , then you would have to break the bond submitted to the college by paying a lumsum amount of rupees in order to get your documents back.

So, you can clearly see the issues which might stand in your way. It's better to proceed towards the counseling procedure after taking a really "WISE DECISION".

Hope you get my point.

All the Best !

No, There is nothing like that. JIPMER only give preference to Karaikal students giving them their own 50 seats out of 200 seats. The students from Tamil Nadu must compete with all the other students of india to secure a seat out of the other 150 seats.

NO becasue on counselling the top rankers would not opt for here and go on with AIIMS or any preferred colleges in their state hence the students (nearly one-fourth) will be sort out

Dear Sir/Ma'm, as of now there is no news regarding the December session registration of the JIPMER PG entrance examination. As soon as we get any news, we will definitely get back to you. The citizen should be an Indian and if not then he must have the necessary documents like an OCI should be registered under section 7A of citizenship act and Foreign Nationals' MBBS degree should be registered under Medical Council of the respective country. The candidates must hold a MBBS degree (recognised by MCI) or equivalent. Candidates belonging to General and OBC must have 55% aggregate in their MBBS course or equivalent and SC and ST should have 50% aggregate. The candidate should also have completed one year of rotating internship.

Dear Aspirant,

Yes it will affect your counseling as if you want to take an improvement exam then I must tell you that be prepared for it and if you think you clear the eligibility to appear in Jimper then don't apply for improvement as the result will take time and if counseling will be done before the arrival of the result you have to wait for 1 year.

Choose wisely.

Good luck

Dear Sir/Ma'm, the eligibility criteria itself mentions that you need to pass your 12th boards with a minimum percentage having the subjects of physics, chemy , biology and english. So even if you crack JIPMER, you need to pass in the aforesaid subjects to tale admission.

Compartment is no more problem to you as you have cleared this year so you can appear for JIMPER if you have minimum of 50% in physics, Cheyenne, biology and English each. This is for general category students.

For obc it's 45% for each subject and 40% for sc/st candidates.
