M.Sc Family and Community Resource Management at MSU Baroda Offline Course

Post-Graduate Degree programme in Department of Family and Community Resource Management primarily aims at preparing its students to assume role of teaching faculty members in higher education, curriculum planners, research workers, programme/project co-ordinators, managers/ administrator in private or public institutions like hospitals, interior designers, market investigators, consumer counselors etc. A student must have completed B.F.C.Sc, B.Sc. (Home) Degree or B.A./ B.Sc. Honours Programme with specialization in Home Management/Economics or B.Sc. (home) Degree in General Home Science of this University or any statutory University recognized by M.S.University with regard to eligibility criteria to seek admission to M.F.C.Sc. degree programme in Department of Family and Community Resource Management. Admission to M.F.C.Sc. Degree Programme in Department of Family and Community Resource Management is on merit, based on the marks/grade obtained at the qualifying examination. There will be an interview and/ or written test for those who meet the minimum requirements of a higher second class or an equivalent grade at the qualifying examination on the strength of which admission is sought. Students seeking for admission in M.F.C.Sc. (Family and Community Resource Management) with specialization in Interior Design will be required to also clear a Drawing Aptitude Test. The department runs post-graduate degree programme with option for students to select any one of the two sub specializations offered viz. (I) Family Economics and Resource Management (II) Interior Design. In the first year of two years M.F.C.Sc. (Home) degree programme in Family and Community Resource Management students are required to complete a basic core programme comprising of ten course totaling to 35 credits. In the second year 25 credits of specialized course are offered.
