NITTTR Chandigarh Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College facility provides a separate hostel for boys, which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Tagore hall and Amartya hall boys' hostel with 80 rooms each available with common washrooms (hot water available), room services such as bed tea, water cooler available.

The College has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Mother Teresa Hall and Chander Shekhar Hall girls' hostel with 44 rooms and 101 rooms respectively available with common washrooms (hot water available), room services such as bed tea, water cooler available.

The College facility provides fully-equipped departmental laboratories for students. These labs have the necessary facilities and resources to help the students implement what they have learned ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌theoretically.

The College facility houses more than 50,000 resources, which include books, bound volumes of journals, theses, CDs, and DVDs. The library collection covers subjects like Civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science, applied science, education, management, mathematics, and allied areas. User-friendly library software called LIBERTY has been adopted at the Library. This internationally popular software facilitates automated circulation (issue & return) of the books and speedy access to bibliographies, locations, and availability information of the books stocked in the library. Bar-coding on books and the automated check-in and check-out facility of books reduce the waiting time.

The College has a newly renovated auditorium with a seating capacity of 350 people, which it is very proud of. It is fully equipped to hold seminars, cultural programmes, workshops, and different kinds of academic ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌events.

The College lab is equipped with 20 latest configuration PC’s (HP Desktop i7, 3.4 GHz/4GB/500GB with TFT monitors / Windows 8) with internet facility. The Lab is equipped with ICT Devices for conducting ICT Mode (through Google Hangout/A-View/PeopleLink video conferencing tools) short-term courses on various technologies like Open Source Technologies, Cloud Computing, R Language, Big Data Analytics, Windows Server 2000 Administration, Android Programming, etc.

The College sports facility is also available to build a good infrastructure to promote sports activities for students, faculty, and staff of the institute. The institute has the following Facilities: 1. Badminton Court (Indoor) 2. TT Room 3. Mini Gym 4. Volley Ball Court ( Outdoor) 5. Carrom & Chess 6. Football, Cricket, Hockey. Every year, competitions are held in these disciplines, and incentive awards are also given to the winners suitably. Students, Faculty and Staff participate in various games. The institute also provides the necessary equipment to participants. Every year, an award for the best Sportsperson in the Men's and Women's categories is given. The institute team also takes part in Inter college Sports tournament.

The College facility provides a cafeteria service that is neat and accessible to the staff and students. The seating arrangement is comfortable for around 30 people at a time. Consuming tea, coffee, and some snacks along with other light meals is available all through the day in the cafeteria. The canteen is clean, provides prompt service, and has a price list that is suitable for daily ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌users.

The College gym facility provides a separate place for the students, which is equipped with necessary fitness machines like a tri-cycle, walker, treadmill, multi-exerciser, and weight-training equipment. The gym enables students to be physically fit and also makes them willing to follow a healthy lifestyle by having regular workout sessions in a clean and safe environment.

The College medical facility is also available to be supervised by a Part-Time Medical Officer. Services of the dispensary are available to students and to the family members of the staff

The College has two guest house facilities available on campus. Guest House I - Har Gobind Khorana-- 10nos. with AC, attached bath/WCs, Cable TV  House II - RAMAN Hall-- 51 nos. with AC, attached bath/WCs, Cable T.V.

The College facility includes Alumni Association Chandigarh (formerly called TTTI Alumni Association Chandigarh was set up in 2001 with an initiative of former students of this institute and faculty. The aims and objectives of this association are to promote and encourage friendly relations between all members of the association; arrange social and cultural functions; provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas and views on technical education, culture and other areas; promote and encourage the members to take an active interest in the activities and progress of alma mater; promote the interest of NITTTR Chandigarh; publish literature, paper/journals to fulfill the objects of the association, and promote all activities of the association on a no-profit basis.
