IIT Kharagpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

IIT Kharagpur has 5 halls for girls which is fully furnished with modern amenities and has all of the necessary facilities.

The B.C. Roy Technology Hospital, which offers indoor and outdoor medical facilities, is available to campus residents. There is also a counseling center to which all students, faculty, and staff have access.

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has a central library. There are various printed resources available at the IIT Kharagpur library, which also has access to and a subscription to a number of national and international print periodicals as well as a collection of theses, micro documents, CDs, video cassettes, and reports. E-books are available for use by researchers, faculty, staff, and students. E-resources can be accessed remotely using login information.

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has two stadiums. There is also an indoor squash court, indoor badminton courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and table tennis facilities.

IIT Kharagpur students have access to the internet services, a computer center, and other IT-related services.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has a wide range of on-campus cafeterias. Restaurants on campus include Billoos, Dreamland-Sahara, Hot Bite, Heritage, and others. Aside from the mess, each hall of residence has its own canteen.

The ‘Tech Market’ is an all-in-one marketplace inside the IIT Kharagpur campus where all daily essentials are available. There are marketplaces outside the IIT Kharagpur campus within a distance of 5 km which are easily accessible in case of any particular needs.

For students, the IIT Kharagpur gym has all of the necessary machines such as a cycle, chest press, treadmills, dumbbells, and so on. They can stay fit and healthy by going to the gym. 

On the IIT Kharagpur campus, there is a post office and three fully operational bank branches. Educational loan facilities, foreign exchange, and ATMs are available on campus.

IIT Kharagpur has 16 halls for boys, each with all of the necessities. All accommodation halls have 24-hour electricity, a mess hall, high-speed Wi-Fi, and LAN.
