Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate at the National Institute of Technology Raipur.

Undergraduate program (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering and Postgraduate program (M.Tech.) in Thermal Engineering. It is one of the largest department of the institute with intake of 90 students for an undergraduate course and 17 students for postgraduate course. Department also offers Ph.D. program in all relevant discipline of Mechanical Engineering including Design, Production, Thermal and Industrial Management.

Candidates shall be offered admission based on their choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main).

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.

Good Infrastructure Great placement Affordable Hostel facilities are good Excellent faculties. Lots of events and seminars take place making it enjoyable. Development is still going on on infrastructure and will soon be over. Campus placement is also good along. Industrial visits are also provided.

A good college if amenitites are improved

Infrastructure wise it has to improve in adding more hostels,a proper sufficient auditorium and labs with more improvised material & equipment in it.By having interesting seminars on our subjects and having more technical competitions with guidance from professors. If the above claims were improved then automatically students knowledge exposure to the subject changes and helps many companies to reach us.Not enough Hostels available.Professors who encourages for more out of box thinking and having a great knowledge in them.

Average at lest hostel isn't there for all

There is no hostel facility for max students. Professors will teach in hindi very less in english. Max, your marks are in professors hands, but interaction with seniors is good .half of the marks are in teachers hand .but placements are good. Feasts' are good.

A decent college must take admission

Infrastructure is under construction, but is enough to accommodate everyone.. fests are really nice. Provide good opportunities to explore things and talents. The faculty are nice and experienced. Support with new projects sports and NCC are really nice. Guide us very well for further learning.
