Hi Ganesh,

No, Transferring the seat is not possible from one National Law university to another national law university. You can take a refund of your deposited fees from that NLU university where you have already deposited the fees and can submit it to another NLU.

As you can understand the CLAT exam cut off only a candidate who gets admission to NLUs. So. it is not possible to change from one NLU to another.

I hope this will help you, Thank you.

Hello,

This completely depends upon how sure you are regarding your choice of law. If you have already locked and are sure and confident that you will be making a career in LAW then yes, NLU would be the best choice. However, if you are someone who is confident yet has thoughts that maybe after 3 years of graduation your mind might change and you want to explore new options then, then doing graduation would be preferrable. After graduation you can do your LLB if you think that law is what pulls you or else you can have a plethora of choices in front of you to explore.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

As per your question asked, had you been not allotted a seat at all and decided to exit then 100% of your money paid would be refundable. However, in case you had been allotted seat in any round and you secured/ temporarily blocked your seat by paying a fee and later went for upgrade and then finally exited, in this case a certain amount would be deducted and paid back to you as decided by the rules and regulations for the counselling.

Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,

Both top NLU colleges and DU are the top most universities in India and both these are equal. It is very tough for a candidate to get selected in both NLU and Delhi University. It will be far less expensive to study law at DU than an NLU. Candidates must first earn their graduate degree in order to be admitted to CLC, DU. Students can apply to NLUs as soon as they graduate from high school.

Thank you

Hope this information helps you.

Dear aspirant,

Please confirm if you got an All India Rank of 859 in general category or Rank 859 in scheduled caste category? I would need you to mention your all India rank in general category to tell you the previous year cutoffs. This will thus function as a general trend to compare your chances.

However, you must know that these previous year cutoffs are merely indicative and not predictive. The cut-offs depend on many factors which change from year to year.

Please get back with the requisite information so that I could help you.

I hope this helps! Best of luck!

Dear Khyati,

Cut-offs depend on a lot of factors such as number of candidates, difficulty level of the paper etc. However, looking at the previous year trends, it is almost impossible to get a seat at any National Law University with a rank of 17,000 in the general category as the lowest cut-off is around 2000 odd rank.

Therefore, you may not get admission in any National Law University with this rank.
