If this is your category rank and not your all India rank then I'm afraid you have less chances of getting into an NLU. But you can definitely look out for other colleges like

  • ICFAI Law school Hyderabad
  • MS Ramaiah college of law
  • Christ University Bangalore
  • IMS law college Noida

Apart from that you can check out the colleges you can get with your rank using the following link

Good luck

Hello,

The admision to National Law Universities occur through consideration of ranks in CLAT rank list. Based on predicted opening and closing ranks of different colleges, your chances to get into any of the NLUs is very difficult. You may refer to https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff for information on cut-offs to different NLUs.

With the rank you're mentioning I'm afraid you won't get any NLUs if you fall in general category but if you belong to reserved category then you can check out NLUs like RGNUL Patiala, CNLU Patna, NUSRL Ranchi, NLUJA Guwahati and other newer NLUs.

If you fall in general category then you can check out these colleges

  • JIMS Engineering Management Technical campus, school of Law
  • Chander Prabhu Jain college of higher studies
  • Delhi Metropolitan Education society
  • ICFAI Law school Hyderabad
  • MS Ramaiah college of law
  • Christ University Bangalore
  • IMS law college Noida

Hello Jeet.
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Considering that your rank is 2147, you do not seem to have any chances for any of the National LawUniversitiesif you belong to the general category. Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. You might have a fair chance then. But vacancies are very uncertain and you might/ might not have a chance. Also, if you have other optiona various non NLU law colleges and even private colleges are better than the lower tier NLUs. So you can prefer joining those instead of waiting for vacancies. As far as the last allotment lists are concerned your chances aren't much.
Other than colleges with their own entrances, There are various Private Colleges that accept CLAT scores other than the National Law Universities. You might even have a chance for colleges under IPU, Delhi if you applied there.

Here is a list of a few of them.
Jindal Global Law School, Sonepat
Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai
NIRMA UNIVERSITY, Ahmedabad
ICFAI Law School, HyderabadSchool of Law, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam
Alliance School of Law, Bangalore
IFIM Law College, Bangalore
LLOYD Law College,Greater Noida
Amity University, U.P.
Asian Law College, Noida
Manipal University, Jaipur

Hi aspirant

As  you have not mentioned your category, so I will answer this question assuming your category to be open category. For your mentioned rank you have chances of getting seat in below mentioned NLUs-

  • RGNLU Patiala
  • CNLU Patna
  • NUALS Kochi
  • NLU Odisha Cuttack
  • NUSRL Ranchi
  • TNNLS Tiruchirappalli

Hope this answered your query. Feel free to ask any doubt.

Hey Shalini!
The cut off for admission in any of the NLUs last year closed at a rank of around 1600. So with a rank around 6987 you dont have any chances for any NLUs if you belong to the general category. This is the first time IPU would accept admission based on CLAT scores there are no previous year trends to look up to for a fair estimate. But as there are around 1900 seats offered by IPU in total and 85% if which are reserved for Delhi Candidates so only around 300 seats would be left for All India students. Hence you can expect the cut off for outside Delhi category to be high and close maximum around 3000-4000 rank. Chances for a cut off lower than this is very less. If you belong to the Delhi residents category then you might have a chance with this rank. Under the Non delhi quota chances are less though.
This is only an estimate and the actual cut off may vary according to factors like the number of Delhi domiciled candidates ranked above you etc.
Best of luck

Hey.
The previous year cut off for admission in National law University, Mumbai was a rank of 503 for the general category. The cut off for admission in this colleges in the previous year 2017 was a rank of 478. Considering your score and the previous year trends you do not seem to have any chance for admission in NLU Mumbai if you belong to the general category. With a rank of 962 you have more chances in RGNUL Patiala, CNLU Patna, NUALS Kochi etc. It also depends a lot on your preference list.
Best of luck!
