The University has a pleasant academic set up with good Library and comfortable classrooms. The historic fields of the campus adds to the experience. Some facilities could definitely be upgraded, but overall the environment works well.

The course is academically, demanding but rewarding there is a strong focus on reading research and understanding his historical debates. Faculty members are generally supportive and encourage students to think beyond textbook.

Placement options are fairly limited compared to professional courses. Most student prefer research teaching civil services and further studies. The University could offer more career oriented opportunities for humanity students.

The course of a good value for considering the academic reputation and relatively reasonable fees, the exposure to experience faculty and academic environment make it worthwhile, especially for students planning research for higher studies

The campus is a great mix of old Heritage charm and modern facilities. The libraries are really useful for history. Students with plenty of books and study material classrooms and common areas are also well maintained.

Academics are definitely one of the strongest part of studying history. Here, the syllabus is interesting and encourage proper reading and discussion knowledgeable, although teaching quality can be vary sometime.

Placement are not really the strongest point of history student. Most student look towards higher studies, teaching research and competitive exams. The placement cell doesn’t provide some opportunities but more could be done for art student.

For the fee fees, you pay presidency offers a lot in terms of academics, repetition, and exposure. The Library and faculty are especially valuable for students. Overall it is definitely worth considering if higher studies are your goal.

Campus life is quite lively and intellectual stimulating. There are societies, cultural activities, debates and plenty of opportunities to meet people with different interest. The Heritage campus also presidency a unique atmosphere.

Overall presidency is a great choice for BSE. Few generally enjoy academics and want to pursue higher studies. Placement could be better, but the reputation, faculty, exposure and academic environment make up for it.

Presidency college was one of oldest college in Kolkata. The building of our college was very heritage and large. Well decorated classrooms and well furnished laboratories, canteen and library were also available in our campus.

The basic criteria of our college was 65% of PCM marks and 75% of chemistry (for B.Sc Chemistry honours). In our time, syllabus was quite tough. Organic, Inorganic and physical chemistry were in our syllabus.Our faculty members were very strict but helpful in our generation.

Placement after graduation was very tough in our time. From our batch, at about 30-40% got job in small school as a part time teacher after graduation. So most of batchmates like me completed post graduation to secure a job.

Worth it

It has been great since the first day, the professors are really helpful and supportive .They try to guide us throughout our educational career. the class are focused on many competitive exams as well . Its labs are all equipped with everything we need.

Its all about in-depth concepts and competitive upbringing , there are several extra classes to solve the doubts and concepts. The teachers are always available to meet our needs .The practicals are well guided.

The placement cell is well supportive and takes in consideration what we need in future .Most people go to higher studies in top universities in India as well as abroad . The placement are good in terms of packages .

The fees structure is very affordable .The hostel life is also good.

The seniors are very supportive and extracurriculars are well guided.

Presidency University Kolkata offers a rich blend of historic heritage and modern infrastructure across its campuses.It has a new campus at New Town kolkata specifically foe biotechnology and Astrophysics research.The college infrastructure is moderate to good ,well sufficient for bsc and msc particularly.The labs are well equiped with sophisticated instruments and devices.Although some labs faces shortage pf microscope as the student load is also very high.The classrooms are air conditioned and spacious. We have two libraries one is for arts and another for science.Both the libraries are very enriched and contains multiple copies of the books.Some rare books are also available for the students to quench the thirst of knowledge of presi students. The campus is very clean and green the atmosphere is amazing and presi provides a vibrant campus life to their students. We have two canteens and the food provided is hygenic as well as tasty and not high priced.The food is very much affordable.

Presidency University Kolkata is known world wide for its academics.The academics in one word is excellent.I am pursuing bsc in life sciences and we have highly qualified proffesors and researchers to guide us.The faculty to student ratio is well maintained.We have very diversed set of faculties and they are pursuing research on different fields providing students a vast exposure and the real flavour of the subject.

The Placements for B.Sc. Life Sciences at Presidency University Kolkata are primarily research-oriented, with most students opting for higher studies like M.Sc and Ph rather than direct corporate placements after graduation.The university curriculum and its teaching is heavily inclined toward cutting edge research and preparing students for CSIR NET, IITJAM,GAT-B and TIFR like exams . Direct corporate placements after bsc or msc is less.

Definetly value for money.The fees is very low and very much affordable. First Semester fees all including is 4500 only and later on tge semester fees is only about 2500. I am talking about the entire semester fees not per month.

Provides a very vibrant campus life .The atmosphere in the university is very soothing and charming.The campus is green all round and the playground here provides a quick refreshment for sports enthusiastic students.

Well equipped laboratories with ample amount of resources and equipments, fully furnished classrooms, libraries usually contain all the necessary books but the quantity needs to be increased tad bit...living spaces are pretty hygienic. The campus also has a well maintained playground.

I'm studying life sciences honours because this is the only college in kolkata that teaches all the fields of life science including botany, zoology, physiology biotechnology, biochemistry, biophysics, biostatistics, immunology and many more. You are required to a decent amount of everything till 4th Sem before choosing your specialised basket. This gets you almost ready for all kinds of competitive exams moving forward. Teachers put extra care in completion of due syllabus. I wish the semesters would be more regular and systematic though.

Majority of students aim on moving forward with research and the college does not host designated placement drives as such but it provides enough preparation to appear for the competitive exams to become a researcher though.

We only put in 3-4k per semester for tuition fees, exam fees, laboratory fees, fest fees and everything....and we easily get a stunning campus life, quality education and regular practical classes.

One of the best campus life experiences in Kolkata. You have a gym, a huge playground with regular activities going on, immense amount of sport matches being held every year, a girls common room, 3 canteens, amazing ambience, the staffs are amiable, the professors are extremely helpful, and seniors are amazing.

The infrastructure is good in respect for a college.Classes with proper ventilation and some class also has ac units as well .The whole campus is surrounded by various tress which make its a great environment to study in and people even stay hours after class ends enjoying there time with friends on the ground or in the cafeteria or in quad(student sitting area) The cafeterias are clean and the food is budget friendly for students. There are two libraries with one museum.The two libraries are well equipped with books research paper which helps us in our academics

Overall the experience is great .Here education is not just limited to classroom. Professor teach us to apply what we learn in our real life .We are recommended to watch movies. Several seminar and workshops national as well as national are held for better engagement in our academics.In our graduation level the curriculum is updated it's prepare us for pg level with paper writing thesis presentation and etc

Placements are pretty good .The University name itself is useful in getting good placement and the academic score also adds to it.Many of the my senior have gotten placement in IIT and even abroad aswell .

The fees I have to pay is nothing compared to the facilities I get in my university. Great professors with rich educational background and sometimes professor from abroad also take seminars and workshops to guide us in our academic journey. I am able access all the academic materials from libraries

It is overall a great experience. Engaging classes with professor. Tournaments on various sports where faculty participate besides students. Several enriching seminars , workshop. Events with various band performances and other artists coming and overall a memorable university experience which I could look back upon after graduation

The infrastructure is an old and classic feel because of its heritage, building The library is definitely one of the best parts, with a huge collection of books and a peaceful atmosphere for studying.

Academic are genuinely good. The professors here are experienced and know their subjects well. Most of them are quite helpful and approachable if you need extra guidance. The syllabus is well-planned and covers both theory and practical aspects.

When it comes to placements, Presidency College Kolkata is decent but not outstanding. For some courses like Economics, English, and Political Science, a few good companies Most students either go for higher studies, government exams, or shift to bigger cities for jobs.

The college infrastructure is great. The classrooms are spacious and well equipped with smart boards and projectors. The computer labs are great. The college also has multiple auditoriums and all of them are very good .

The syllabus is very good and has a very dynamic structure . The professors are very supportive and they help us in any kind of problem that we face. They are well educated and they give their very best to help us in excelling in our life

The placements are good. The college has contacts with different companies who comes in the college to conduct interviews. The packages they provide are very good and most of them are based on bangalore.

The college has a very good and well maintained infrastructure suitable for both academic and extra curricular activities. The college has several class rooms equipped with smart boards . The college also has different auditoriums where different events are conducted.

The academic calender of the college is very appropriate for the students and is it's academic infrastructure. The professors are very well educated and they give their very best to help the students to excel their life.

The placement process is not very well maintained. Students can sit for placements but only a few get selected. There is no proper placement cell and the students themselves has to contact the HRs for any placement related works.

The fees of the college is very cheap . It is a government college and given the facilities that it provides it is really excellent in terms of value for money. I would strongly recommend students to take admission in this college to pursue their studies.
