Hi Priti,
Given that your rank is on a higher side you will not be allotted WB NUJS in any of the rounds of counseling. You may get a call from the newly established NLUs like HPNLU, Shimla, NLU Jabalpur, NLU Sonipat. Keep an eye on the vacant seats notifications for NLU Assam and TNLU.
Hi,Aspirant
Let me tell yoo for NRI,Sponsored Category you need to fulfill required criteria which is mentioned on NLU,Websites very clearly that they will get only 15% Seats of total seat, and for that admission will be done on merit basis. If you scored good ranks then you might be get admission but, generally it will be on your Merit Rank in CLAT Exam,Cutoff will be around 1 to 5 k.
ALL THE BEST
Hey Upasana,
With your rank you have got quite minimal chances to get admission in WBNUJS.So you should apply for the other private colleges instead of waiting for the cutoffs of WBNUJS.Reserved category candidates even face competition while they have relaxations in terms of opening and closing ranks.
Also check out this link for more information about the cutoffs and colleges https://law.careers360.com/articles/wbnujs-kolkata-cutoff.
Thank You.
Hello Preeti, with marks of 141 you can very well secure a seat in WBNUJS.On comparing and analysing the previous year cut-ofs,you have more probabilities of getting a seat even under general category.
Below,is the last year cut-of rank,
215-Starting rank
240-Last rank

Hey Subarna,
As per the reviews the CLAT paper 2019 was quite easy with students attempting close to around 185-190 question. So it is expected that the cutoffs may be high these year. The top NlUs including WBNUJS may provide the first list cutoff with 130-135+ marks. You have fair chances in WBNUJS. In case not the first list but you may have to wait for the second list too.
Best of luck.
sorry i did noyt get your question can you pleas provide me some proper information so that i can help you out in solving your query all the best have a great future ahead.
Hi sir,
Your son needs to clear CLAT exam organize by National Law Universities every year with very good rank ie. Below 2000. The CLAT exam score is used for getting admission in good Central Law Universities across the nation which have only limited seats in BSc LLB.
For taking admission in BSc. L.L.B, students have to pass 10+2 class with minimum 60% marks.
Some university gives admission purely on the merit list of 10+2 class marks but some universities take the Entrance Exam test for the admission in B.Sc.L.L.B. After the test, merit list is prepared and candidates are admitted purely on the basis of marks scored in the entrance exam.
All the best
