MA Bengali at NBU Offline Course

Master of Arts (MA) in Bengali is a full-time two years duration course and it is offered by the University of North Bengal, Siliguri. Department of Bengali commenced its journey from the University of North Bengal. The basic objectives were the  promotion of Vernacular education, systematic and scholarly study of Bengali  literature and language and regional languages & literature as well. In its  long journey of last 47 years, it has most commendably performed its duties and   successfully fulfilled its purpose. At the outset the Department was started  with two teachers and thirteen students in its present location. Over the  years, the number of Students, Research Scholars and Teachers have increased.  It is now running with eighty-three students in each part and seven teachers.  It has firmly established its worth in teaching and Research in the field of  Bengali language and literature.
