24 Months- Master of Science (M.Sc) in Botany is a full-time two years duration postgraduate course and it is offered by The University of North Bengal, Siliguri.
- The department flourished with tireless efforts of faculties, staff, and students. The course curriculum of the department has always been strong and forward-looking. Syllabi have been revised regularly and the latest version was done with the introduction of semester system offering five special papers, namely Cytogenetics, Microbiology, Molecular Plant Pathology, and Fungal Biotechnology, Plant Biochemistry, and Taxonomy of Angiosperms and Biosystematics.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Candidate must be Honours graduates [10+2+3 system] in Botany may be considered for admission to Master in Botany in any recognized University/college.
- The candidates with Honours Degree [10+2+3 system] in the respective subject from a recognized University shall be eligible to apply for admission to M.Sc courses. Candidates who have passed UG examination three years earlier or more before the year of admission shall not be eligible for admission to M.Sc Courses (e.g., the candidate passing UG examination in 2015 or before shall not be eligible for admission.
Admission Details
Selection of the Candidates of the University of North Bengal shall be made according to the strictly on merit basis in obtained marks in the qualifying Examination.
