This is an amazing college for pursuing engineering for software oriented branches and not that great for core branches. Faculties are very helping and supportive. Industrial exposure is not much supported by the college. Placements are good but not for civil engineering students when compared to the crowd present.

VIT is a great university academic wise. Not so good in placement wise. Only 1-3 companies have visited us in two sems. The fests are awesome. I loved being an organiser of a fest. The college has good relations with foreign universities and the SAP is just awesome.

It has been the best experience of my life. I made a lot of amazing friends. I got to learn a lot throughout the entire 4 years. I kept myself busy being involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. I met a lot of people from different parts of the world some Chinese, some Africans. The infrastructure is absolutely wonderful. All the building are different from each other. The humongous library keeps getting better and more student-friendly. There are a lot of activities which happen in the campus on a daily basis. we have talent hunts, music nights, blood donation camps, dance faceoffs, etc The placements in VIT is awesome. A huge number of companies come to the campus to recruit students. Perhaps the only thing that is a bit of a concern is the placement of the non-CSE and IT students. They do not get equal opportunities. The student diversity helps us in knowing the different cultures of people. It helps in the overall growth of an individual. The faculties in VIT are pretty good. They are excellent knowledge of their subjects. The management has also brought about a couple of changes like introducing digital boards, switching to project-based courses, encouraging students to take up projects. The academic system is getting better too. The college life could have been more happening if a certain number of rules weren't there. The girls aren't allowed to go out a lot. They are forced to enter inside their hostels at 8:30 in the night. Perhaps a bit more freedom could make the college life more happening. The overall experience is pretty good.

Faculty members as an average are very nice. Some of them are strict and some of them are not. Some focuses more on practical knowledge while others don't. Teachers are very helpful. Most of the teachers are either IITians or ex-VITians. Most of the teachers excel in their respective field. Our curriculum is based on theory, lab and projects. We have around 450 students in B.Tech civil and VIT has 21 teachers in its civil department.
