72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the VIT-AP University, Amaravati.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (of all the years/semesters) wherever marks are awarded, or a CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in cases where letter grades are awarded or Equivalent qualifications such as M.Sc. (Engineering)/M.S. [By Research]/M.Tech. [By Research]
- Graduates must have an outstanding academic record in their Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology. A minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 7. 5 is mandatory on a 10-point scale.
- Prospective research scholars may need to submit a research proposal outlining their proposed research topic, objectives, methodology, and potential contributions to the field. This helps evaluate the candidate’s research aptitude and alignment with the department’s research priorities.
- International applicants may need to demonstrate proficiency in English through standardized tests such asthe TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
