Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Manipal University, Jaipur. The program approved by AICTE.

Candidates are admitted directly to the second year of BTech Programme.

Mechanical engineering involves creating small parts for bigger machines to creating the big machines itself. Industrial sectors in which mechanical engineers have traditionally made substantial contributions include aerospace, automotive, chemical, computer and electronics, construction, consumer products, energy, engineering consulting and government.

In addition, the medical and pharmaceutical industries also present exciting opportunities.

B Tech in Mechanical Engineering enables students to acquire the skills and the knowledge to be able to build machines that define tomorrow. With a well-stocked library and laboratory, students can learn the theory of mechanical engineering in-depth while also putting it to practice all within campus.

Eligibility Criteria

MET 2026 Rank Holders

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or A Level or IB or American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as Compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry or Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology or Statistics or Engineering Drawing as optional subject for admission to B Tech, with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and the optional subject, put together.

Merit-Based Admission

Manipal University Jaipur offers Merit-Based Admissions to eligible candidates who meet any one of the following criteria:

Passed Class XII with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with a minimum aggregate of 60% (or equivalent) in PMX subjects, where X may include Chemistry/Computer Science /Biotechnology /Biology / Engineering Drawing /Electronics/Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics

All admissions are subject to merit, fulfilment of eligibility criteria, and availability of seats.

B Tech - Lateral Entry (Candidates are admitted directly to second year)

The candidates who have passed 3 year diploma in relevant field of Engineering/BSc (PCM) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate can apply for Lateral Entry to B Tech Programmes

Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026.

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination & branch allocation on the basis of Merit.

College Infrastructure

furnished classroom , facility of projector for online classes labs with all the chemicals and laboratory equipments . including the facility of AC , open library with all the books and magazines spacious auditorium, sports room facility and ground are also there .

MUJ is a good place to grow, hustling is to be learned

College Infrastructure

Manipal univeristy jaipur is a pretty solid place academically, but its not that great as well. Course structure is decent, professors are good, but like every other college, you need to put effort into it. Professors are really approachable. sports facilities are kickass. Library is amazing. auditorium and mess are 5 star. ofcourse they charge money for that. living space are luxurious, unlike BITS.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of college is marvellous, well equipped with laboratories, library, sports facility. There are two academic blocks in the college currently (the third one is under progress). The classrooms are always clean.
