Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Manipal University, Jaipur. The program approved by AICTE.

Candidates are admitted directly to the second year of BTech Programme.

The growth of digital communication and mobile telephony, broadband, wireless internet, satellite TV has led to the growth of career opportunities in the field of communication engineering.

This program covers the core concepts of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), students study Antenna Theory, Information Theory, Analog Communication, Optical Communication, Digital and Power Electronics, Circuits and Circuit Systems, Electromagnetic theory, VLSI, Control Systems and Computer Architecture among others.

Eligibility Criteria

MET 2026 Rank Holders

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or A Level or IB or American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as Compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry or Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology or Statistics or Engineering Drawing as optional subject for admission to B Tech, with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and the optional subject, put together.

Merit-Based Admission

Manipal University Jaipur offers Merit-Based Admissions to eligible candidates who meet any one of the following criteria:

Passed Class XII with Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with a minimum aggregate of 60% (or equivalent) in PMX subjects, where X may include Chemistry/Computer Science /Biotechnology /Biology / Engineering Drawing /Electronics/Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics

All admissions are subject to merit, fulfilment of eligibility criteria, and availability of seats.

B Tech - Lateral Entry (Candidates are admitted directly to second year)

The candidates who have passed 3 year diploma in relevant field of Engineering/BSc (PCM) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate can apply for Lateral Entry to B Tech Programmes

Admission Details

Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination & branch allocation on the basis of Merit.

College Infrastructure

The college is very good if you consider the infrastructure. There are well equipped classrooms and labs here which ensure you study good and comfortably even in the Jaipur heat. The college has Wifi which can be used to study.

Its a good college for both skills and making new friends.

College Infrastructure

the infrastructure is outstanding it has all the basic necessities and equipments required for students for basic interactions in labs and as well as in the hostel region also. The students are provided with Wifi facility which is very helpful in their daily activities. The spaces are clean in campus, it is very vibrant to observe and makes a very good look for the college.

College Infrastructure

The campus has modern infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms, laboratories, library facilities and common areas. The campus is spacious and generally clean, with good connectivity and Wi-Fi. The academic blocks and labs provide a comfortable environment for studying and practical work. Some facilities can get crowded during peak hours, but overall the infrastructure is one of the stronger aspects of the university.
