Abdul Shahid Mahavidyalaya was affiliated only in 2015 and is a minority privately managed college situated at Etah in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. Located on a small area of 1.04 acres, this Christian co-educational institution remains committed to its call to prepare quality teachers. The college, approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), offers two full-time courses: Bachelor in Education B. Ed The Diploma in Elementary Education (D. Ed.) Overall, the college offers education to 131 students and comprises a faculty of eight members, thus ensuring that the learning environment is direct in nature for anyone interested in becoming a teacher. It contains a set of amenities that is intended to enrich students’ learning process in educational college. 

In this respect, every efficient library should have available sufficient materials for students in order to create a learning base for them. The institution also has appreciated the role of technology in current learning and has provided very adequate IT facilities to ensure students are informed on the current technological sense. In addition to the Laboratories the college also boasts of offering departmental practical laboratories in the lessons learnt the students are able to practically demonstrate what they have learnt. Besides conventional academics, Abdul Shahid Mahavidyalaya offers ample provisions for an all-round development through having sports facilities, and a gym to maintain the health of its students. The college is affiliated to Dr BR Ambedkar University, Agra.

With regard to courses, Abdul Shahid Mahavidyalaya mainly provides programmes in teacher education. The college currently offers two courses: Two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programmes and Two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED.) programmes. 

This institution follows the admission policy as framed by the State Government/U.T. Administration and the affiliated University. Admission procedure for the B.Ed programme is mostly merit basis, giving consideration to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The college may also use other techniques of selecting their employees as may be stated by the existing policy.
