ABS Academy, Burdwan, was founded in the year 2008 at Durgapur in West Bengal District. The said institution is famous as a co-educational affiliated college, especially known for its effort toward teacher education with three specialized courses. Approved by NCTE, ABS Academy has taken a leading edge in preparing the future educators. The Institute has a compact 0.87-acre campus with a total enrolment of students at 615, with an overall faculty strength of 62, thus maintaining an ideal student-teacher ratio.

It is an academy that takes pride in providing a comprehensive learning environment with facilities provided for the all-around development of students. A library forms the mainstay among the academic resources, which contains 2,423 B.Ed textbooks and 685 D.El.Ed. textbooks. The IT infrastructure in the college is very good; it helps students stay updated about digital methods of learning. The campus also has separate hostels for boys and girls for students who come from faraway places. All kinds of health-related issues are duly taken care of with a first-aid health center, along with a well-equipped gym for physical health. It provides a variety of facilities for both indoor and outdoor games and thus the college campus becomes sports-enriched, inculcating the spirit of sportsmanship amongst students.

 Course Packages in Education: The focused course packages offered by ABS Academy in the field of education are three full-time courses to shape the next generation of educators. Available course packages include B.Ed, D.El.Ed, and M.Ed programs. The courses are designed to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge, which is required to build a professional teaching career. The total approved intake from all the courses is 350 seats, thus showing the ability of the academy to develop a large number of teachers every year. 

The admission process at ABS Academy is designed to be merit-based and transparent, as per the policies prescribed by the state government, Union Territory administration, and affiliated university. The admissions in all three programs—B.Ed, D.El.Ed, and M.Ed—are made on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance examination.
