One of the reputed institutions in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, Adarsa College of Pharmacy, was established in the year 2008. This is a co-educational institution with a 2-acre campus solely meant for pharmaceutical education and research. This institute has been approved by PCI and thereby functions as an affiliated college, in so offering quality pharmaceutical education. This, combined with an academic staff of 37, results in a good student-teacher ratio within the college and creates a good learning environment. Adarsa College of Pharmacy offers four full-time courses; each one is designed for different aspects and/or levels of pharmaceutical education. The B.Pharma programme is four years long and belongs to the undergraduate level, and D.Pharma, a two-year diploma course. The college also offers advanced studies through its M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics, which is a two-year postgraduate diploma programme, and the Pharm. D, which is a highly intensive six-year doctoral course. The duration and the area of specialisation give students an option to choose the path that he or she finds right to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
