ADM College for Women, Nagapattinam: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

ADM College for Women, Nagapattinam is a college situated in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu was established in 1975. It follows the higher education tradition of educational institution for women colleges in Tamil Nadu – India. With a large area of 26 acres, the college comprises of 36 courses in 11 degree programmes. The total students of ADMC are 1910 with total faculties 102 so there is positive environment for growing academically. The college has affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which translates to quality education. Student mix of the ADMC is majority of undergraduate students (88%) and twenty two percent postgraduate students, of these 98% students are Local students and 2% students are non – Tamil Nadu students.

The ADM College for Women offers various facilities to enhance the college’s activities to achieve its goals and objectives. It has a complex with fully equipped library having more than 40546 books, 73 journals, 14 magazines and many digital materials. Anatomy and Dissection, molecular biology, genomics laboratories, auditorium and cafeteria are the main facilities of the campus. Stationed on campus, ADMC takes student health seriously and even contains a health centre ‘On Campus Health Care’. ‘On Campus Computer: Equipment’ – ADMC boasts a computer lab complete with 60 systems and internet connections. The college also provides sports amenities which consisting of a big ground for accommodating various games and annual sports activities , a Hall for gym and other physical groups.

While pursuing its academic programmes, ADMC offers academic programmes in almost all the fields. The college offers 36 programmes of study, which include under graduate and post graduate and doctoral programmes. Among them are BA English, B.Com, BBA, BCA, M.Sc with different options, and PhD in Commerce, Economics, English, Mathematics and Zoology. The college also provides new age courses such as B.Voc in Marine Food Processing and Preservation and Software Development in Multimedia and Animation in order to meet industry demands.

ADMC like other universities has a process by which the admission is offered and this with special consideration for all students based on merit. No particular date for the exams are given but, the college takes into account performance in other qualifying examinations for admission purposes. For the 2022 academic year, 824 students were reimbursed by ADMC scholarships targeting deserving students and the university additionally; 83 postgraduate students were also reimbursed. The college has existing relations with students and often the former assist in the development of the college and their experiences pass valuable information to the current students.
