Aklia Polytechnic College, Bathinda, Ghonima Mandi, was established in the year of 2008 and is one of the premium technical institutes of Punjab. This affiliated college, recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has a number of diploma courses in the field of engineering. Spread over 15 acres with a total student enrolment of 557, established and well-equipped, the college has 58 faculties and dime. To ensure that education in technical fields is well addressed, Aklia Polytechnic College offers four diploma courses, each of which prepares the students to acquire appropriate expertise and knowledge in the respective fields.

Aklia Polytechnic College boasts of having well-equipped facilities that make the students learning more interactive. The computer lab is also air-conditioned, containing more than one hundred latest-version computer terminals, high-end application servers and uninterrupted internet facilities. Another important facility is the college library, which is also computerised, subscribing to approximately 12 journals and magazines, for which it subscribes to an integrated library software package.
